In-depth Review: Animal Crossing: New Leaf - Electronic Theatre

Added: 04.06.2013 17:17 | 10 views | 0 comments

Despite having been a success story for Nintendo for over a decade, Animal Crossing remains an entirely unique prospect in videogames. Some might compare it to The Sims for a loose understanding of the open-ended nature of the videogame; others might suggest that it has common with Harvest Moon in that of its relaxed style of play. Animal Crossing: New Leaf Review (GamingBolt)

"Having heard but tales of the Japan only Animal Crossing in my youth, I was there on day one to pick up the subsequent worldwide port to Gamecube in 2004. As the first time the series had launched in the west, it was a new and exciting brand of gameplay that appealed to my erratic teenage mind. Animal Crossing: New Leaf Whenever I'm asked why I adore the Animal Crossing series, I find it incredibly tough to explain the appeal to someone who hasn't played it. After all, who would believe that the joy of collecting the last fossil in a set of dinosaur remains can evoke the raw thrill of winning a hard-fought group battle in Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate? Or that when a new shop opens in the town, it's as joyous a mo...

Animal Crossing: New Leaf Review | Gamereactor UK

GR-UK writes: "The game keeps scaling up, offering incentives just out of reach if only you had the cash, but you never see the harsh grind that you know exists beneath the sugar-coated surface. You just keep plugging away happily. "Think of it as less a game, more a life choice. It's a twee game, but don't mistake it for a childish one. It's an addictive, warm-hearted title that deserves to be on your 3DS."

Siliconera - My third day in Animal Crossing: New Leaf and my town Crawford was bustling. My home expanded, there was a new neighbor, I received my development permit, I dabbled in clothing design and I was even able to visit someone elses town for an orchard construction project. Most important of all, I finally was able to buy a fishing pole!
